Ancient Egyptian Architecture Lapbook
Ancient Egypt is one of the most fascinating places and times in history in my opinion. One of the coolest parts of homeschooling is that I get to indulge my own interests occasionally, and over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been delving deep into the wonders of the ancient world.
Handle on the Arts has this great activity guide and lapbook template available for free from their website. Each section and activity can be done in whatever order and however quickly you like; we’ve read most of this information in other places and from other sources, so it was more a review and we went through making the lapbook pretty quickly.
You could, of course, beef up the content with additional mini-books. We’ve been leaning more toward mini-lapbooks (single file folders) and there was enough content in the HotA activities to make a nicely full, single folder lapbook.
It was a lot of fun to make, and I got several comments about this being ‘the most fun’ of the day’s lessons.
